We speak with Ingrid Sanchez of Creative Ingrid on creative courage, finding your passion and the importance of persistence when building your business.
When Ingrid Sanchez moved from Barcelona to London, she took the opportunity to start her own business at the Notting Hill market. 6 months later she closed her first business, but the lessons she learned and the passion for creating stuck with her.
For Ingrid, things really turned around when she took a leap and put her name to her work. Declaring to her friends, family and the world that she was a creative person.
Flash forward to today and Creative Ingrid is a thriving business that combines Ingrid's love of mindfulness, yoga and illustration.
In this episode we discuss
- How a passion for yoga lead to amazing business opportunities
- How to balance your day job with your creative work
- Why it's important to keep creating, even if you love the work you're doing
- Why educating yourself in your craft is so important
- Ingrid's advice for other people wanting to start their own business
I was so inspired by Ingrid's genuine passion and love of her work, creating is a way of life and she views it as a privilege. I especially loved the way she talked about owning your creativity and showing the world your art.
Rather than giving up at signs of 'failure', she took that information as feedback, refining her work along the way. Something we should all be doing!
We hope that you take inspiration from Ingrid's story and turn her lessons into your own actions.
