Hi, my name is Melina LaVecchia Daniels.
My husband, Jacob Daniels and I own and operate 3 studios across the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Jacob paints and builds custom furniture, while I create modern tableware and coordinate a curated, handmade market in Boone, NC (Artisan Market Boone).
My work is inspired by slow living and intentional time around the table, each piece is handmade with original illustrations and designs.
I was raised by two Italian chefs who taught me the art of hospitality at an early age.
These concepts have been the backbone of my work Ceramics by Lina LaV; serving each other, nourishing our bodies and spending time with people around a beautiful meal.
Here's what a typical day looks like for me.
4 am - 6 am
Good morning! I wake up somewhere between 4am or 6 am to feed my 4 month old.
I always follow his meal with 3 eggs and cold brew coffee.
I try to have some quiet time to read, meditate and pray before I get into the craziness of emails and design work.
I spend a few hours in studio downstairs, throwing, building, glazing or designing new pieces.
1 pm (or around there)
I do a HIIT workout or yoga on my porch then eat a yummy power bowl (kale, avocado, chicken sausage, quinoa, and pistachios is my favorite combination)!
I keep my afternoons open to spend time with my son or meet friends for coffee or juice.
I spend the rest of the evening with my husband dreaming about our next adventure or the bus convert that we plan to start over the winter.
