Made It episode 007 with Lindsay Gilmore

This week we speak with Lindsay Gilmore.

Have you ever had one of those moments where you meet someone and instantly click as a friend? You feel energised and inspired by their story and approach to life?

That's what happened when we spoke with Lindsay Gilmore.

Linsday is an illustrator living in Portland with her husband and ridiculously cute dog.

Lindsay's story is a really good one.

She started with a company that allowed her to explore her talents and skills and worked her away into a more creative position.

This was the launch pad she used to discover herself as an artist. Now she works in custom pet, people and place portraits and pieces that truly inspire her from abstracts to landmarks.

One of the most inspiring things about Lindsay is her can-do attitude, even a 'failed' craft fair has not deterred her from pursuing her art.

In this episode we speak about:

  • How she manages her career while her husband is a medical resident
  • The inspiration behind her work
  • Why making no sales at a craft fair was a meaningful experience
  • Her business goals and how she's going to get there

This interview was so inspirational, we absolutely loved our time talking with Lindsay and hearing her refreshing approach to business.

We hope that you take inspiration from Lindsay's story and turn her lessons into your own actions.

We have loads more interviews and business tips coming so make sure you subscribe to Made It.
