In this episode, we talk with Deb from Tizzit about her free Makers Biz Summit and our workshop where we spill the details on how to grow your Instagram following.
Deb is kind of a powerhouse. She is passionate about helping handmade business owners turn their craft into a business through her work at Tizzit and the free summit, Makers Biz.
It all started when Deb moved from France to Australia to study but decided to throw in the books and focus on her business instead.
Deb has always been interested in creative arts but not so talented with a hot glue gun.
Rather than letting her lack of creative skills stop her, she decided to use her knowledge of web development, design and business to help makers create successful businesses.
This desire to help makers lead her to create a summit that brings together some of the most successful players in the handmade world.... and us!
In this interview, we speak with Deb about:
- Why pricing is so important in your business
- How to scale and grow
- Why you need to take it step by step when you're starting out
- The importance of fun in your work
Talking with Deb about her education and career was such a blast. And we had the best time speaking at the Makers Biz summit on our fave subject, Instagram too!
We hope that you take inspiration from Deb's story and turn her lessons into your own actions.
We have loads more interviews and business tips coming so make sure you subscribe to Made It.
